OP Jindal University is now the recipient of prestigious “ THE PROGRESS GLOBAL AWARD 2020”. Dr.R.D.Patidar (Vice-Chancellor sir) receives the award in presence of Shri Bhupesh Baghel the Hon’ble Chief Minister Chhattisgarh state.

Campus placement drive was organised on 24th November 2020 in which M.Tech, B.Tech, M.B.A., B.B.A students were participated. Thirteen students from B.Tech, and Seven students from MBA were selected with annual package of 4.8 lacs.

ZENUS Group visited University campus on 27th November 2020 and organised capus placement drive. Five students from B.Tech( two from Mechanical branch, two from Civil branch and one from Electrical branch) were recruited.

OP Jindal University Raigarh congratulates Dr. Mukesh Desai, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department for being awarded Ph.D degree from the National Institute of Technology, Raipur. His research work area is on Industrial Engineering and Mangaement, and the title of his thesis is "Application of Single Minute Exchange of Die in Service Sector - in Case of Ambulance Response Time".

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with Instituion's Innovation Council at OP Jindal University, Raigarh organised a webinar on 25th November where Mr. Vishal Pillai - Innovation SIG Head, KPIT, Pune shared his thoughts on “Process of Innovation Development”. He discussed in detail about the key steps involved in innovation along with the different tools and techniques used at different stages of innovation. The webinar was attended by 150+ registered participants from industries, students, and faculty members from the University.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering organised its 3rd Alumni talk series on 6th November 2020, where Mr. Devopam Dasgupta (2011-2015 batch) presently working as the Compliance Specialist at Platform.sh, Greater Paris Metropolitan Region, discussed in detail the opportunities available for higher education in the Foriegn Universities with the existing students of the department. He also showed some light on the employment opportunities available abroad after completing the higher studies.

Avaneesh Jha a student of Computer Science Engineering 5th semester bagged the First Prize in a Networking Activity Event conducted by IEEE in the Student Membership Enhancement and Leadership Training (SMELT) 2020. SMELT Membership Enhancement 2020 session was virtually organized by IEEE Bombay Section SAC in association with IEEE Region 10 SAC. It was a one day session organized on three different dates for different geographical locations. For the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Subsection it was held on 29th September 2020. There were 2 rounds of the quiz and he got the highest points amongst all contenders. He received a cash prize of Rs. 1250 wherein results were declared in November.
