With the mission to unleash the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship at the University, OPJU has applied to AIM, MHRD, Govt. of India to establish ATAL COMMUNITY INNOVATION CENTER (ACIC) under PPP model. Proud and happy to share that OPJU is the only institute who has been selected from the state for this project.
In view of nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19, OP Jindal University took initiative of On-Line Classes for the benefit of the students. Keeping the current difficult time in view and disruption of academic calendar On-Line class is being used to the optimum for effective –learning intervention.
Great Place IT Services, Nagpur visited University campus on 4 th March and held an event for Computer Science Engineering students. The drive started with a Pre-Placement talk followed by Written test and Personal round. The results are awaited.
JSW-DOLVI made a visit on 5thMarch 2020 for campus placement drive. In this campus drive 32 students from B.Tech. have participated out of them 8 were recruited. The drive started with a Pre-Placement talk later on followed with Written test, Group discussion and finally Personal round.
SQUIRCLE, India visited OP Jindal University campus in the month of February 2020 and held a recruitment event for Computer Science Engineering students. Eight students were selected in his campus recruitment event with CTC 2.3 LPA.
OPJU Students of 6th semester have been placed in good companies for Internships viz. JSPL Raigarh, Medikoe Bangalore etc. and are attaining experience on live projects to be market ready.

Department of Computer Science Engineering OPJU conducted a certification course on MACHINE LEARNING by experts. Objective was to provide hands-on training to prepare students for Internships, projects and placement. The Certificate was awarded by O.P Jindal University in association with IEEE Student Branch. The Course duration was of 30-40 hrs. and students were benefited from it.
An internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon 2020 was conducted by the CSE department, in which students from various branches across OPJU participated presenting their innovative ideas and exhibited their technical skills. The Students of OPJU also represented the university at state level by presenting their ideas and gained exposure to various trends in the current market scenario.
