The Centre for Corporate Education & Training (CCET) organized a number of webinar series for the corporate and academicians during this pandemic. The CCET webinar Series provides an opportunity to gain valuable insight into best practices in industries. It also aims to give companies a platform to present existing challenges and explore future opportunities. In all there were fifteen webinars during the month of May. There were five webinars from the Department of Civil, four from the Department of Management, two from the Department of Metallurgical Engineering, three from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and one from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

A Webinar on the topic “Prospectus of Quantum Computing” was organized by the Department of Physics, SOS on 31st May 2020. Dr.Girish Ch. Mishra, Asst.Dean School of Science and Head of the Department organized and conducted the webinar successfully. Speaking on the Webinar Dr.Girish Ch.Mishra highlighted some essential points needed for Quantum Computing and its role. Further he stated, what is Quantum Computing, why it is needed and how we are trying to get via-a-vis the advantages of it in the present era.

A webinar on "Re-inventing Applications of IoT Post Covid-19” was conducted for the students, academicians and industry people. This webinar was organized by Dr. Deepak Singh, Associate Professor of Department of Electrical Engineering, OP Jindal University, Raigarh on 28th May 2020. The guest expert for this webinar was Dr. Suraj Sharma, Assistant Professor, International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

The School of Management has organized a Webinar on the topic “Circular Economy: The Key to Sustainability” on 27th May, 2020. Industry expert Mr. Ajay Kumar Mohanty, CEO, CVR iDREAM Tech, Hyderabad was invited as the Speaker. Dr. S. Nayak, Associate Dean, School of Management, OPJU has given the introductory remark and Dr. Jayalaxmi Samal, Assistant Professor from School of Management has moderated the session.
