OPJU began the academic year 2018-19 by launching the School of Science for both BSC & MSC.This year there were over 400 new admissions in B-Tech, BBA, BSC, MSC,MBA and PHD Programs in Engineering, Management & Science.
OPJU has got the opportunity to serve as a consultant for a project “Multistoried parking system at Nagpur Railway Station”. This opportunity has been facilitated by Dr V S Landge, Prof. Civil Branch, VNIT,Nagpur.
Four of our students from the Civil and Mechanical Engineering Departments were selected for a final round, at a Startup Boot Camp, organized by the Government of Chhattisgarh and Startup India Team.
A campus drive was conducted by JSW for its bellary unit on 17-18 August, 2018. 10 students of OP Jindal University appeared for the campus, among which 4 got selected. Congratulations to all the students and we wish them all the best!
The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a one day Workshop on “Electric Vehicle Technologies" on 13th August 2018. The workshop is supported by Solar Energy Society of India (SESI) OPJU Chapter and CIAC@OPJU.
We congratulate Dr. Anurag Gautam for the acceptance of his paper, to be published in Journal Title: Coordination Chemistry Review, impact 14.5. We also welcome Dr. Ram Sevak Singh and Prof. Prabhat Kumar Sahu to the OPJU family as faculty members.
OPJU has collaborated with Jindal Stainless Ltd (JSL) to bridge the gap between the academic learning and industry needs. The programme was initiated under the leadership of Dr Siddharth Chakrabarty and Dr Ashok Shrivastava.
OPJU has been given the opportunity to be a consultant for a Waste Heat Recovery Boiler (WHRB), by Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL). OPJU has been tasked to improve the draft of the flue gases in coke oven batteries system of WHRB, JSPL.
SoM launched a young leader program at Jindal centre on 17th& 18th August, 2018. The Programme was initiated by the School of Management and was designed for the young leaders of Jindal steel and power limited.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Prof. Humanities, OPJU was a speaker at an event “Chhattisgarh CSR Leadership summit & awards” on 24th August 2018, at Hotel Babylon International, Raipur. The event was organized by India CSR, India’s largest CSR network.
