Congratulations to OPJU student team (Solaric) for being selected at EFFI cycle-season 11. After the successful season of the Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC) Season 6 (March 2019) and the vehicle on board for Season 7- waiting for the final dates of competition in 2021, the OPJU Solaric team is now ready to sparkle their achievements in one more venue of international standards EFFICycle - Season 11 to be organized by SAEINDIA (Society of Automotive Engineers) - E Mobility Season-Drive the future.
OPJU is now listed as a nodal centre (Network Institute) for IIRS - ISRO (Indian Institute of Remote Sensing - Indian Space Research Organization) outreach program. Students can now select a course of choice @ free of cost under this program at OPJU. Prof L R Bhandarkar, Sr Asstt Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department will be the coordinator for the centre.
Centre for Industry-Academia Collaboration (CIAC@OPJU) has been established to keep a better interaction between industries and University and facilitate wherever possible all the helping hands to different schools/Departments in terms of resource person, internship and placement opportunities. In continuation of the activities, it has organized one webinar in association with the Department of Mechanical Engineering and two other webinars with the IEEE chapter @OPJU.
Congratulations to the Department of Metallurgical Engineering OPJU for conducting Five-days Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Recent Advances in Process Metallurgy in association with ASM India Chapter and IIM student Raigarh Chapter, from July 13-17, 2020. The patron of the FDP was Dr R.D. Patidar (Vice-Chancellor, OPJU), Chairman of the FDP was Dr Ashok K. Srivastava (Director of International Collaboration and Centre for Research Excellence; Professor and Head-Department of Metallurgical Engineering, OPJU); Convener of FDP was Dr Trinath Talapaneni, (Assistant Professor,Metallurgical Engineering OPJU) and the Organizing Secretary was Prof. Md. The CCET conducted an online e-MDP on ‘Emotional Intelligence for Personal & Professional Growth’ for the academic research and industry people on July 18, 2020. The session was conducted wonderfully by Dr Saket Jeswani from School of Management. Total 44 participants have participated in the eMDP.
