Department of Mathematics

The Department started its functioning in the year 2018 and is gradually emerging as an excellent Centre for Research and Teaching in the areas of Mathematical Modeling, Algebra, General Topology, Analysis, Cryptography, Inventory Model, Fuzzy Logic and Applications etc. under the active guidance of dedicated and experienced faculty members. Our Faculty Members have delivered invited talks and presented research papers in many Indian and foreign Universities so far. Eminent Mathematicians from many premier Indian institutions visited our Department and presented their innovative and interactive talks with the students and faculty members. The Department has introduced new courses in the field of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics to stand in the front line curriculum of the other Universities of the Country. The Faculty Members of the Department have a good track record keeping in view to have collaborative/interactive research work with many eminent Mathematicians across the Nation. The faculty members of the Department are also Reviewers/Referees of many National as well as International Mathematical Journals.

Program Outcomes [B.Sc. (Hons.)]


 PO-1: Knowledge and Problem Solving: Acquire in-depth scientific knowledge of their discipline both in theory and practical, demonstrate basic skills, investigate, apply, and solve the problems in a variety of contexts related to science and technology.

 PSO-3: Proficiency in programming skills and practical to further mathematical understanding and solve mathematical problems.

 PSO-1:Apply computing theory, languages and algorithms, as well as mathematical and statistical models, and the principles of optimization to appropriately formulate and use data analysis.

To continue the scholarships after the first year, the student will have to maintain a minimum prescribed academic performance during the course of the programme.
