A. School of Engineering:
1. Admissions to PhD Program in Engineering (Full Time)
PhD program is being offered by OP Jindal University in the following Department:
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Science Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
Eligibility Criteria*
- ME/MTech or equivalent degree in relevant branch of Engineering with minimum aggregate of 55%.
- M Sc / M Phil for applied science and # MA / M Phil for humanities or equivalent PG degree with minimum aggregate of 55%.
- Desirable: A valid GATE /NET score in above disciplines.
- Performance in OP Jindal University entrance test and personal interview.
- A relaxation of 5% will be made for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates
B. School of Management (SOM):
2. Admission to PhD Program in Management (Full Time)
PhD program is being offered by OP Jindal University in the following Department:
- Ph D in Marketing
- Ph D in HR
2.1 Eligibility criteria:
- MBA or equivalent PG degree with minimum aggregate of 55%.
- A relaxation of 5% will be made for SC/ST/OBC/Specially abled candidates
- Desirable: A valid NET score in above disciplines
- Performance in OP Jindal University entrance test and followed by interview.
C. School of Science (SOS):
3. Admission to PhD Program in Science (Full Time)
PhD program is being offered by OP Jindal University in the following department:
3.1 Eligibility criteria:
- A Postgraduate degree in relevant discipline with minimum aggregate of 55%. A relaxation of 5% will be made for SC/ST/OBC/Specially abled candidates
- Desirable: A valid NET score in above disciplines
- Performance in OP Jindal University entrance test and followed by interview.
3.2 Stipend for PhD students:
- Candidates admitted to the PhD program (Full Time) are eligible for a monthly stipend of INR 30,000. Full time PhD program is fully residential therefore the Scholars need to stay in university hostel for entire duration of study. A subsidized bachelor accommodation will be provided in Hostel.
- A scholar typically assigned a course or a lab by the department before the semester begins. The Scholars are required provide 8-10 hours of teaching assistant per week by supervising practical work, tutorial, seminar and other professional development activities etc. as suggested by the department.
4. Admission Process for all Programs
- Apply Online at www.opju.ac.in/apply-now for the programs at OPJU School of Engineering, School of Management, School of Science.
- Application should be accompanied by Application Fee (Non Refundable) of Rs 3000 for Doctoral Program payable online (Internet banking/Credit/Debit card) or DD/Bank Transfer
- A provisional shortlisted candidate will be asked to appear for Written test, Interview and Synopsis presentation.
- On subjected to fulfilment of requisite conditions, eligibility and verification of documents a provisional admission offer letter will be issued to the candidate. The candidate is required to deposit the fee within stipulated date mentioned in offer letter.
- One Time Deposit(OTD) Rs 10,000 needs to pay (All Course) within stipulated time mentioned in offer letter. The OTD shall be adjusted toward enrollment Fee on confirmation of admission and in case of admissions cancellation by student OTD will be Non Refundable.
- If the candidate doesn’t pay full fee by the stipulated date, the admission would be deemed cancelled.
- There will be three rounds of Counseling and after that if there are any unfilled seats, it will be filled on the basis of rolling Counseling (First come first serve basis).
*Candidates of Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC) of Chhattisgarh domicile and Female Candidates are exempted from Application Fee.
5. How to apply for admissions (All Programs)

Student can apply at www.opju.ac.in/apply-now and pay requisite application fee online through Debit/Credit card/internet banking.

7. Admission cancellation Policy and Refund of deposited fee
Cancellation of admission will be amused only in the form of written request received at Regisrar office within stipulated time announced by the university and all admission cancellation processed as per rules prescribed by OPJU, however fee refund (Excluding OTD) shall be processed post Last date of admissions announced by competent authority.
