A. School of Engineering:
1. Admissions to PhD Program in Engineering (Full Time)
PhD program is being offered by OP Jindal University in the following Department:
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Science Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
Eligibility Criteria*
- ME/MTech or equivalent degree in relevant branch of Engineering with minimum aggregate of 55%.
- A relaxation of 5% will be made for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
- Performance in OP Jindal University entrance test and personal interview.
- Desirable: A valid GATE /NET score in above disciplines.
B. School of Management (SOM):
2. Admission to PhD Program in Management (Full Time)
PhD program in Management is being offered by OP Jindal University in the following Specializations:
- Finance Management
- General Management
- Human Resource Management
- Marketing Management
2.1 Eligibility criteria:
- MBA or equivalent PG degree with minimum aggregate of 55%.
- A relaxation of 5% will be made for SC/ST/OBC/Specially abled candidates
- Desirable: A valid NET score in above disciplines
- Performance in OP Jindal University entrance test and followed by interview.
C. School of Science (SOS):
3. Admission to PhD Program in Science (Full Time)
PhD program is being offered by OP Jindal University in the following department:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
3.1 Eligibility criteria:
- A Postgraduate degree in relevant discipline with minimum aggregate of 55%. A relaxation of 5% will be made for SC/ST/OBC/Specially abled candidates
- Desirable: A valid NET score in above disciplines
- Performance in OP Jindal University entrance test and followed by interview.
*NET qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance exam and will be directly invited for an interview.
4. Admission Process for all Programs
- Apply Online at www.opju.ac.in/apply-now for the programs at OPJU School of Engineering, School of Management, School of Science.
- Application should be accompanied by non-refundable Application Fee of Rs 3000 for Doctoral Programs payable online (Internet banking/Credit/Debit card) or DD/Bank Transfer.
- A merit list will be announced for eligible candidates on the website. The shortlisted candidates will be asked to appear for Written Test/Synopsis Presentation & Personal Interview. On Selection in particular PhD Programs subject to fulfilment of requisite conditions, eligibility, and verification of documents a provisional admission offer letter will be issued to the candidate. The candidate is required to deposit the fee within stipulated date.
- One Time Deposit (OTD) needs to pay within stipulated time mentioned in offer letter. The OTD shall be adjusted toward enrollment Fee on confirmation of admission and in case of admissions cancellation by student OTD will be Non-Refundable.
- If the candidate does not pay full fee by the stipulated date, the admission would be deemed cancelled and the seat will be offered to next waitlisted candidates.
5. How to apply for admissions (All Programs)
Online Mode
Apply at www.opju.ac.in/apply-now and pay requisite application fee online through Debit/Credit card/internet banking.

7. Admission cancellation Policy and Refund of deposited fee
Cancellation of admission will be amused only in the form of written request received at Regisrar office within stipulated time announced by the university and all admission cancellation processed as per rules prescribed by OPJU, however fee refund (Excluding OTD) shall be processed post Last date of admission announced by competent authority. However, university will follow the UGC guidelines for fee refund.
8. Full–time scholars PhD Scholars would be eligible for stipend as per university norms; however, they are required to stay in the University hostel during his/her PhD tenure.
