It is generally being discussed at all the forums that the students passing from Higher Educational Institutions are not ready for the Industry and there is gap between what is needed in the real world and what is being done in the academic institutions. However, there is no clear understanding about this gap so that remedial action may be instituted. This needs constant dialogue between Industry and Academia to understand problem completely by various stake holders.
The conclave is being organised in association with Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL). Government officials and prominent industries along with other stake holders are being invited to discuss this burning issue for addressing the problem holistically.
Following events are scheduled in the IAC -
The Tech-Lab will highlight the best fruits of the scholars, research, and creative activity of students from disciplines across theOPJU. The event franchise is to motivate discussions related to novel research and ideas. The session: "Tech-Lab" during theIAC aims to bring all industry, academic experts together to discuss, learn, and share their complementary expertise andexperience in a way to harness a mutually beneficial scenario. We expect to forge many research and academic collaborations,such as joint research projects, business models, poster presentations, start-ups demonstration, etc.
The keynote session during IAC aims to bring all stake-holders together to discuss, learn, and share their respective expertise and experience. The session would be geared towards discussions on the specific points that facilitate the issues that impededevelopment efforts and implementation of new technology.
Interested industry participants are requested to submit (jr.nair@opju.ac.in) one page write-up of the specific issues/problems for which they would like to have an interaction with industry personnel, faculty members and students. This write-up will be circulated within the among all stakeholders for a more meaningful discussion during IAC 2018.
