Our mission is to unleash the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship at the OP Jindal University.
At CIE we cultivate a rare breed of budding entrepreneurs by incubating, accelerating, mentoring and supporting innovative start-ups via building connections between our campus and the Industry leaders, Government agencies and curators of the innovations.
In keeping with the commitment of the university towards the Government’s “make in India”, “Skill India” and “Start up India” initiatives, we have created an ecosystem in the campus to support and bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Create and encourage an environment of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the university to foster multidisciplinary innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
Create and support the next wave of aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs and help them converting ideas into start-ups.
Provide offerings tailored to address the specific innovation education issues across all Engineering, Science and Management disciplines.
Partner with academia, government, industry and NGOs to strengthen the resources, expertise and activities in the Centre.
Leverage open platforms to connect students and faculty across Universities in India and abroad to share the latest tools and insights related to innovation and entrepreneurship.
CIE@OPJU promotes a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at the grassroots level, preparing the students for the future by imparting them with knowledge, tools, and opportunities across emerging areas in Technology, Energy, Manufacturing, and Family Enterprises.
Through outreach associations, clubs and events such as the guest speaker series and Ideateion events, boot camps, symposiums, business development programme etc, we engage our alumni and the wider community to create a space for innovative and entrepreneurial minds to network and learn.
Android Club @ OPJU : The club is operated by android development lovers who wish to create lucrative apps that mark an innovation in the software field and can be used by the University and society as a whole. Apps that can help them be entrepreneurial are also designed for their respective businesses. Senior students also showcase their projects and club with juniors who carry them forward to the next level of perfection.
Robotics Club @ OPJU : This club is for the community of students who derive pleasure in creating mechanical peers that are potent to work without human intervention. Students move into this field of innovation and hence prove their talents by inventing new ventures for the same.
OPJU Open Coding Competition (O2C2) : This open coding contest is conducted by the university to enhance the coding capabilities of students of all years so that they can generate innovative ideas according to a problem statement which can further be implemented in any language/domain.
INTEL Intelligent Systems Lab : One of its first kinds in the state of Chhattisgarh, this lab is collaborated with iNTEL to promote innovations and design in the field of iOT and embedded systems. Students get hands on experience on various kits of iOT hence can implement in this upcoming field.
