The 7th edition of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024 has been announced, offering students a unique platform to tackle some of the nation’s and world’s most critical challenges through innovative problem-solving.
SIH, a national initiative by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Innovation Cell and AICTE, has grown since its inception in 2017 to become the world’s largest open innovation model. It brings together students from across India to solve real-world problems with creativity, innovation, and technical expertise.

In this internal round, 50+ student’s teams would be participating and 10+ Industry and Alumni juries are invited for the SIH internal round. Out of these, 30 teams will be selected to represent OPJU in the SIH next round.
OPJU team "Caffeine Engineers" was announced as the winner of SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2023 (P.S.1433) at NHCE Bangalore A total 6 teams out of 25 teams reached the final round of SIH 2023.
