The Department of Chemistry, School of Science organized an Industry Expert Lecture under the Academia–Industry Connect initiative on “Environment Management in Coal Based Thermal Power Plant in NTPC Ltd.” on February 10, 2026 for the students of School of Science. The expert session was delivered by Dr. Sudhir Dahiya, Additional General Manager, Environment Management at NTPC Limited, Lara (C.G.). The lecture highlighted key sustainability practices, emission control technologies, ash management strategies, water conservation measures, and adherence to national environmental regulations. Emphasis was placed on balancing energy demands with ecological responsibility through structured environmental monitoring, risk mitigation frameworks, and regulatory compliance mechanisms.
