The School of Science, O.P. Jindal University, in association with the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, and the Raja Ramanna Center for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore, successfully organized a seminar titled “Advancing Scientific and Technical Careers in the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India” on January 28, 2026.
The seminar aimed to sensitize final-year postgraduate science students about the diverse research and development activities of the Department of Atomic Energy and to create awareness regarding career opportunities in advanced scientific domains such as nuclear science, accelerator technology, materials science, and earth sciences. The session was delivered by the resource person, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Soni, Senior Scientist and Head, Irradiator Systems Development Lab, Industrial Accelerators Division, RRCAT, Indore. He provided valuable insights into the functioning of DAE laboratories, ongoing R&D initiatives, and various technical and scientific career pathways available for young aspirants.
