Placements and Internship

Facilities

Concrete Technology Lab

A Concrete Technology Lab is a laboratory setup designed to perform experiments related to the properties, behaviour, and performance of concrete as a construction material. It is a fundamental part of civil engineering education and construction quality control. Below is an overview of what typically comprises a concrete technology lab.

Environmental Engineering Lab

Environmental Engineering Lab is an essential part of civil and environmental engineering education. It provides hands-on experience in analysing environmental parameters related to water, air, and soil quality. The lab helps students understand the principles of pollution control, environmental monitoring, and sustainable practices

Transportation Engineering Lab

A Transportation Engineering Lab (or Highway Engineering Lab) is a key facility in civil engineering that allows students and engineers to study the materials, performance, and design standards used in road construction and transportation systems. It focuses on bitumen, aggregates, pavement materials

Surveying Lab

A Surveying Lab is an essential part of civil engineering education where students learn to measure, map, and interpret land surfaces using traditional and modern survey equipment. The lab focuses on practical application of surveying principles used in construction, land development, and infrastructure planning.

Fluid Mechanics Laboratory

A Fluid Mechanics Laboratory is a hands-on facility where students explore the behaviour of fluids (liquids and gases) and learn practical measurement techniques related to fluid flow, pressure, and forces. This is essential for understanding hydraulic systems, pipe networks, and open channel flows in civil, mechanical, and environmental engineering.

CADD Laboratory

AutoCAD - 2D drafting and detailing, Revit - BIM (Building Information Modeling), 3ds Max - Advanced rendering and animation,  Archicad - Architectural BIM design, STAAD.Pro / ETABS - Structural analysis and design (some labs integrate these), Civil 3D - Civil engineering design and documentation

Cement Laboratory

A Cement Testing Laboratory is a specialized lab where the physical and chemical properties of cement are analyzed to ensure quality and compliance with standards. This is critical for ensuring that cement used in construction meets the required strength and durability specifications.

Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory

The Geotechnical Engineering Lab is a dedicated facility designed to conduct experiments on the physical and mechanical properties of soil and rock. It plays a critical role in civil engineering education by enabling students to understand subsurface conditions and their influence on structural design and safety. The lab is equipped to perform a variety of standard tests that aid in site investigation, foundation analysis, and earthwork design.
