Overview

Scholarships and teaching/research assistantships are available for deserving meritorious students. Minimum requirement for scholarships is a score of 75% and above in the Qualifying exam. Each scholarship application will be evaluated by the Scholarship Committee. The scholarships are given on an annual basis. To continue the scholarships after the first year, the student will have to maintain a minimum prescribed academic performance during the course of the programme.

Assistantships require students to commit minimum of 8 hours of work per week outside regular academic work, assisting professors on teaching or research projects. Typically an assistantship could pay a stipend of Rs. 12,000 per month depending on the type and quality of work undertaken.

Continuation of assistantship during each semester is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance and satisfactory performance in the discharge of responsibilities assigned under the scheme.

Eligibility

  • ME/MTech or equivalent degree in relevant branch of Engineering with minimum aggregate of 55%.
  • A relaxation of 5% will be made for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
  • Performance in OP Jindal University entrance test and personal interview.
  • Desirable: A valid GATE / NET score in the relevant disciplines.

Admission Process

  • Apply online at www.opju.ac.in/apply-now for programs at OPJU School of Engineering, School of Management, and School of Science.
  • Non-refundable application fee of ₹3,000 for Doctoral Programs. Payable via Internet Banking, Credit/Debit Card, Bank Transfer, or Demand Draft.
  • A merit list will be announced on the website for eligible candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Written Test / Synopsis Presentation & Personal Interview. Upon selection and verification of eligibility and documents, a provisional admission offer letter will be issued. The candidate must deposit the fee within the stipulated time.
  • Must be paid within the timeline mentioned in the offer letter. The OTD will be adjusted towards the enrollment fee and is non-refundable if the student cancels admission.
  • If the candidate fails to pay the full fee by the deadline, the admission will be cancelled and the seat offered to the next waitlisted candidate.
