Eligibility

  • BE / BTech or equivalent degree in Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology or MCA with minimum aggregate of 50%.
  • A relaxation of 5% marks in Graduation will be made for ST/SC/OBC/PWD candidates.
  • Performance in GATE and/or OP Jindal University entrance test and personal interview.
  • Provisional admission will be given to students who are awaiting results - based on past performance.
  • Candidates may also be required to produce letter(s) of recommendation from their previous teachers.

General: These are full-time programs and will require students to dedicate themselves completely to the taught and research schedule. It is advisable for students to stay on campus in hostels which will also facilitate them in taking up assistantship opportunities. MTech students will be given single room accommodation subject to availability.

Admission Process

  • Apply (Online/Offline) for the programs at OPJU School of Engineering, School of Management, School of Science
  • Application should be accompanied by non-refundable application Fee of Rs. 1000 for Diploma, Undergraduate program, Postgraduate Program and Rs 3,000 for Doctoral program payable online (Internet Banking/ Credit/ Debit card) or DD/ Bank Transfer/ UPI
  • A merit list will be announced for eligible candidates for each round. The shortlisted candidates will be asked to appear for counselling. On subject to fulfillment of requisite conditions, eligibility and verification of documents a provisional admission offer letter will be issued to the candidate. The candidate is required to deposit the fee within stipulated date.
  • One Time Deposit(OTD) Rs 15000/- for all courses within stipulated time mentioned in the offer letter. The OTD shall be adjusted towards enrollment Fee on confirmation of admission and in case of admissions cancellation by students OTD will be non-refundable.

If the candidate doesn’t pay full fee by the stipulated date, the admission would be deemed cancelled and the seat will become vacant for the next round of counseling.

  • There will be three rounds of counseling and after that if there are any unfilled seats, it will be filled on the basis of rolling counseling (First come first serve basis).
  • University reserve the right to cancel Admission at any stage of the admissions process without any notice if the student doesn’t meet minimum eligibility criteria for a particular program.

Scholarships and Assistantship

Scholarships and teaching/research assistantships are available for deserving meritorious students. Minimum requirement for scholarships is a score of 75% and above in the Qualifying exam. Each scholarship application will be evaluated by the Scholarship Committee. The scholarships are given on an annual basis. To continue the scholarships after the first year, the student will have to maintain a minimum prescribed academic performance during the course of the programme.

Assistantships require students to commit minimum of 8 hours of work per week outside regular academic work, assisting professors on teaching or research projects. Typically an assistantship could pay a stipend of Rs. 12,000 per month depending on the type and quality of work undertaken.

Continuation of assistantship during each semester is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance and satisfactory performance in the discharge of responsibilities assigned under the scheme.
