Overview

Research in management must address contemporary issues and lead towards implementable solutions. Such research requires the scholars to develop familiarity with ground realities as well as ability to formulate rigorous research projects.

Keeping this in mind, the Ph.D programme at SOM, OPJU is designed to inculcate in the researchers with research skills and knowledge in various domains of management. This programs caters to the needs of the regular full-time scholars and working executives.

Candidates desirous of gaining a doctoral degree in Management may appear for an interview with the Departmental Research Committed (DRC) of SOM, OP Jindal University, subject to fulfillment of eligibility as per requirement and clearing the national level entrance examination. Selected candidates need to undergo through a coursework of one semester duration and after successful completion of the coursework, they are registered for the Ph.D programme.

Eligibility

  • MBA or equivalent PG degree with minimum aggregate of 55%.
  • A relaxation of 5% will be made for SC/ST/OBC/Specially abled candidates.
  • Desirable: A valid NET score in above disciplines.
  • Performance in OP Jindal University entrance test followed by interview.

Admission Process

  • Apply Online at www.opju.ac.in/apply-now for the programs at OPJU School of Engineering, School of Management, School of Science.
  • Application should be accompanied by non-refundable Application Fee of Rs 3000 for Doctoral Programs payable online (Internet banking/Credit/Debit card) or DD/Bank Transfer.
  • A merit list will be announced for eligible candidates on the website. The shortlisted candidates will be asked to appear for Written Test/Synopsis Presentation & Personal Interview. On selection in particular PhD Programs, subject to fulfilment of requisite conditions, eligibility, and verification of documents, a provisional admission offer letter will be issued to the candidate. The candidate is required to deposit the fee within the stipulated date.
  • One Time Deposit (OTD) needs to be paid within the stipulated time mentioned in the offer letter. The OTD shall be adjusted toward enrollment fee on confirmation of admission. In case of admission cancellation by the student, OTD will be non-refundable.
  • If the candidate does not pay the full fee by the stipulated date, the admission will be deemed cancelled and the seat will be offered to the next waitlisted candidates.

Admission Cancellation Policy and Refund of Deposited Fee

Cancellation of admission will be amused only in the form of a written request received at the Registrar's office within the stipulated time announced by the university, and all admission cancellations will be processed as per the rules prescribed by OPJU.

However, fee refund (excluding OTD) shall be processed post the last date of admission announced by the competent authority. The university will follow the UGC guidelines for fee refund.
