Dept of Civil Engg. Organised a one day Survey Camp on 21.9.2017 , for the students of Civil 3rd semester. The sole purpose of organizing this training is to prepare students to develop skills using surveying instruments and to become familiar with various aspects of Triangulation.
This hands on training & exposure related to various traits of survey makes students more confident & industry ready. Mr. S.N. JHA, AGM CIVIL of JSPL was also present during the training camp & he gave very valuable inputs & guidelines to the various practicing groups. The students took levels of the flexible pavements & generated contour maps out of it.
A faculty and staff development training session "Sakhham" was conducted from 29 June 2017 to 30 June 2017 in which about 50 faculty and staff members participated. The trainer Mr. Kausik Biswas, from Microsoft had an interactive session and intensive lab hours for 2 days with deliberations, hands-on especially on MS Office, MS Education add-on tools and deployment process. The session was really good and added lot value for each individual faculty and the University.
Dept of Civil Engg. had organised a 3 Day Workshop for the students of OPJIT 6th sem, from 1st May to 3 rd May, and for 5th semester students of Civil OPJU ,from 27th to 29 th April 2017 on to the theme " Enhancing Employability by learning the traits of Total Station ." Total Station is modern and advance instrument which is used by most of the reknowned organizations/consultancy firms for surveying. This is one of the fast and accurate method of surveying. The training activity was conducted by the Experts of Concept Tele Systems, Bhopal ,which is authentic channel partner of Bentley.
Nearly 50 students of 4th semester & 40 students of 6th semester had participated into the workshop & learnt the working & functioning of EDM instrument Total Station.A few good students were selected by trainers & they have prepared Two TopoSheets of the the Opju University Campus as well as of Opju Colony . The workshop was conducted successfully in a befitting manner & followed the Concept of Learning by Doing .

CMOS RFIC design is a challenging and critical engineering task particularly in the arena of deep sub-micron technology. There is a strong demand of manpower having thorough knowledge and hands on experiences in VLSI design using state of the art EDA tools.
The study tour was organized by the Civil Department to Water Treatment Plant, Raigarh. The students get acquainted with the complete process of treatment from collection of water through Intake and various stages of the processes of water treatment and the environment around the Treatment Plant.
The Department of Civil Engineering organized a 3 day workshop on “Enhancement of Employability Skills through hands- on training on TOTAL STATION” for 6th Sem. & 4th Sem. B. The students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering secured 1st position in the Grand Finale of UTKRANTI-2017, Drone Competition at IIT - Delhi.
Department of Mechanical Engineering, OPJU in association with the Vinfotech New Delhi, has conducted a Two Day Workshop on “Quad Copter". The workshop received a good response with a total no. of 76 participants in-house and outside the University.
