Outbound Training Program for MBA & BBA students at Rishikesh

November 5 - November 11, 2017

An Outbound Training Program was organized for MBA & BBA students at Rishikesh from 5th to 11th Nov 2017. Students stayed at Camps near River Ganga. They had a great learning experience where various management games were conducted for the students by trainers and also enjoyed various types of adventurous activities like cliff jumping, rappelling and river rafting.


Cement and Brick making plant of JSPL, Raigarh

November 15, 2017

47 students of 3rd semester ,Civil Engg visited Cement and Brick making plant of JSPL, Raigarh on 15.11.2017 . They were shown by the JSPL officials training area, some of presentation based on Cement as well as Brick making & have taken a round of the plants to see the functioning & working of its various units. Students learnt the process and methodology of cement and brick making . Prof. Vinod Nagpure & Lab Staff. Mr. Gopal were associated with the students during the visit.


'Run For Unity' On Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

To preserve and strengthen unity, integrity and security of the country, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is observed as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ (National Unity Day). To mark Sardar Patel’s 142nd birth anniversary, OP Jindal University organised the ‘Run for Unity’ on 31st October 2017. The event saw an enthusiastic response from students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the university. A two-km run was flagged off by Dr Prabhu Aggarwal, Vice-Chancellor, OPJU.


Five Days Workshop on AUTO CAD and STADD.PRO

October 30 - November 3, 2017

Department of Civil Engineering, SOE organised a Workshop on 'AUTO CAD and STADD.PRO' for the 3rd and 5th Semester Civil Engineering students from October 30 to November 3, 2017. The objective of the workshop was to develop technical software skills of the participants. In AUTO CAD, participants learnt about computer aided designing- planning, cross-sections, elevation etc. of buildings with 2D & 3D images. STAAD.PRO software is widely used in analysing and designing structures – buildings, bridges, towers, transportation, industrial and utility structures. Hands on training on STAAD.PRO allowed participants to learn how to analyse and design virtually any type of structure.


Five Days Workshop on Cloud Computing

October 9-13, 2017

Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized a five-day Workshop on Cloud Computing from 9th October to 13th October 2017 at the campus. The aim of the workshop was to create awareness about Cloud Computing among students and to highlight how the organisations use the platform to drive greater impact among communities. The resource person of the workshop Mr Binayak Prasad Gupta, MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate) from Kolkata, began the workshop with introduction of Cloud Computing and covered the topics- characteristics of Cloud Computing, Advantages & Disadvantages of Cloud Computing, google cloud, Understanding of Cloud Security, Understanding Services and Applications, Introduction to Google App Engine and VM software, etc. 90 students along with faculty members participated in the workshop.
