Currently working as Director, School of Mines, Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol, West Bengal. Formerly Deputy General Manager (Quality Assurance) at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam, Sri Arghya Majumder, did his graduation in Metallurgical Engineering and Master degree in Industrial Metallurgy from Jadavpur University. He is a PhD holder from Jadavpur University. A Certified lead and internal auditor for Quality Management System (QMS) and Integrated Management system (IMS) by BVC, UK, he had been conducting regular audits of Core departments as well as Marketing branch offices and stockyards for the last 10 years. He also has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) from Pondicherry University. He was part of the team in commissioning and stabilization of Cold Rolling Mill of M/s Walzen Strips Pvt. Ltd.,Biradingi, Howrah. Two times Creativity Award Winner, Sri Majumder has been a part of commissioning of new Sinter plant and Blast Furnace in Vizag steel Plant. He was selected from Vizag Steel Plant for Industrial Training at Arcelor Mittal, Dunkerque, France as a Quality Expert on Paul Wurth Blast furnace. He was a member of Editorial team responsible for publishing “VIZAG QUEST”. Dr. Majumder has more than 10 National and International Technical paper publications.

•  Worked as Deputy General Manager in Quality Assurance & Technology Development department in Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam since January 1997 which takes care of process control activities starting from Raw material, Sinter Plant as well as Blast furnaces.
•  Lead auditor ISO 9001:2015. Conducted regular QMS audits of Core departments as well as Marketing branch offices and stockyards of Vizag Steel for the last 10 years.
•  Worked as Shift Engineer in M/s Walzen Strips Pvt. Ltd., Biradingi, Howrah, from Nov, 1995 to May, 1996. Part of the team in commissioning and stabilization of Cold Rolling Mill.
